Samsung Says MetroPCS Launching LTE in September


  • Earlier this month, MetroPCS CEO Roger Linquist identified the carrier's first LTE phone as the Samsung Craft, and the price will be comparable to other MetroPCS handsets, which should put it somewhere close to
  • Jaebeom Choi, vice president of systems research and development for Samsung Electronics, said that Las Vegas and Dallas would be the first two markets to see MetroPCS' LTE network
  • If MetroPCS launches LTE and the Craft in September, they would be the first LTE network and first LTE phone to launch in the U.S. Verizon Wireless is planning to launch LTE in 25 to 30 markets later this year, but Verizon hasn't given an exact time frame
