TSMC pares back on unpaid leave, says paper

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has brought back employees to its 12-inch production lines following a sudden surge in orders, the Chinese-language Commercial Times reported today (Feb 11). Meanwhile, United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) has also shortened compulsory unpaid leave to four days for workers on some production lines, according to the paper. ...
